The traditional container logistics companies Seatrain and Contrans are back. Launched as a duo of 20’ standard containers, they two breath new life into the selection of transportation accessories. WIKING collectors will easily remember the brand chronology taken by a completely new logistics theme at the end of the sixties: The first container trains with the 20’ and double-sized 40’ containers were miniaturised by WIKING and loaded onto semi-trailer combinations. From then on, and for many years, a natural consequence was the numerous industry orders, especially because WIKING aggressively marketed the vehicle models as “promotional gifts” for the customers of the time. The extensive selection of prototypes continued to make its mark on the product range for a long time – a favourite collector’s theme had been created.
