The Governor of California himself - Arnold Schwarzenegger - has remained faithful to the Puch G from his homeland of Austria. With good reason, for at the beginning of the 1970s the Puch G was a groundbreaking project: two independent manufacturers saw it as the answer to the demand for a 4WD vehicle suitable for both military personnel and civilians at the same time. The general-purpose vehicle which went into production in 1975 - and has been produced in Graz ever since - is the joint project of Magna Steyr and Mercedes Benz. Both partners divided the worldwide distribution between them so that the Puch G enjoys widespread distribution across a number of Eastern European countries. Bodywork in black, chassis in silver grey, interior and steering wheel in beige, wheel rims in silver grey, silver headlamps, Puch logo on the front, front indicators in amber, tail lamps in red. Spare wheel cover at the back with multi-coloured Puch logo.
