This classic vehicle is regarded as the real bread and butter car of its time and today is one of the first generation of youngtimers. The Opel Kadett B was once a bestseller – it was the saloon of the “man on the street“ and Opel’s equivalent of the VW Beetle. WIKING worked on the model for more than two years following original construction diagrams and comprehensive photographic documentation of the full-scale vehicle. Consequently, the designers were able to create precise moulds reproducing the character of the vehicle. The result with all its details - including a separate radiator grille - is definitely something to be proud of. After all, within the compact class, around 2.6 million Kadetts were built between 1965 and 1973 and it is still one of the most successful Opel models to date. The Kadett marks an era when the importance of production at the Opel plant in Bochum to Germany was at its peak – the saloon regularly created the need to put on extra shifts and helped the Opel Blitz to shine out amongst the statistics for vehicles registered in the Federal Republic.Body pure white (RAL 9010), chassis anthracite (RAL 7021), interior ruby red (RAL 3003), steering wheel anthracite (RAL 7021) with transparent front headlamps and red transparent rear taillamps, radiator grille black (RAL 9005), front and rear bumpers as well as rims in silver (RAL 9006).
