The forwarding company Josef Tress can already look back on a remarkable history that is closely linked to WIKING-Modellbau. In 1983, Josef Tress sold his company with its focus on food transport to the Jani corporation. WIKING fans will prick up their ears right away and remember the time when the Tress flatbed semi-trailer with the Scania tractor unit 111 rolled into the product range in 1984. No wonder that the Jani gas transporter joined the WIKING product family nearly at the same time. The logistics history is a good example of the ability to integrate companies, as Paul Jani had founded the company Jani in 1967 following his retirement. In the years to follow, the Jani Gastransport corporation continued to acquire other companies in an effort to pursue their own expansion. Betzold was the first acquisition and was later followed by the Josef Tress forwarding company. Thus came together what was meant to come together. Now, we can celebrate a reunion with the Josef Tress forwarder, this time in the form of a tanker truck, which referenced and travelled between Stuttgart, Munich, and Bolzano, which were major forwarding destinations at the time.
