Another Mr. Clean at last: The cubic series is now finally joined by the distribution vehicle, which is modelled after the original that made deliveries for the Mollerus laundry and cleaning service. The Opel Blitz long hood with its compact box body – decked out, of course, with fresh Mollerus colours – is now making the WIKING laundry duo complete. Founded in the 1940s, the company grew quickly after the war, but always stayed true to their motto of operating as “the housewife’s servant”. In keeping with the advertising style of the era, the “M” was creatively stylised into the graphic of a bellboy figure. At their site in Gelsenkirchen Mollerus was regarded as a high-volume laundry service who had managed to expand their staff to over 200 as early as the mid-1950s.
