Paying tribute to the special appreciation they receive from Sweden’s WIKING collectors, the traditional model makers are now releasing a gas transport semi-trailer pulled by a majestic Volvo N12 tractor unit. Koppartrans used to be a Swedish fuel brand founded in Gothenburg after the war. Together with ASG, Koppartrans ranked among the most well-known brands traversing the roads in Sweden in the nineteen fifties and sixties. In 1953, Koppartrans originated from a merger between Stora Kopparbergs AB, which is deemed one of the oldest companies in the world, and Trans-Atlantic, a subsidiary of Ahlmarks. Even though the fuel company was acquired by Shell in 1964, the name Koppartrans could still be seen at some filling stations a decade later before the brand disappeared from streets and roads.
