Product details
The WIKING model is equipped with true-to-the-original tyres that come with a distinctly agricultural tread. The exceptionally wide tyres accentuate the brawny character of the vehicle. The model maker's practice to add the option to change the wheels has become greatly appreciated. When changing the wheels, the viewer will be struck immediately by the detailed design of the rims. For the combination of components WIKING chose to manufacture the entire lower assembly plus the bonnet and the frame from metal. The wheels on this model can be changed thanks to the included tool and the magnetic covers. The bonnet is designed to open, while the upper and lower links and the upper link on the rear can be moved and pulled out, respectively. The Fendt tractor is equipped with a height-adjustable trailer coupling and a removable weight on the front. Driver’s cab door and rear window open, while the access point folds down, as does the passenger seat on the inside. Installed on the roof are moving warning lights and hinged exterior mirrors. The swing axle can be controlled with the steering wheel - just as in the real-world sibling of the model. The toolbox is found on the right-hand side. Markings, warning signs and lamps have been imprinted with the same richness in detail as the hydraulic connections. The meticulous reproduction of the engine is housed under the bonnet, and the lamps are filigree inserts. The necessary warning signs have been included on top of the fenders. The tractor rolls on tyres with a knobbly profile.

New details, new model – the Fendt 942 Vario is released as the latest series model update. The precision model makers at WIKING have enhanced a multitude of details on the tractor, taking the appeal of the top model from Marktoberdorf to new heights. The Fendt 942 Vario is considered the top-of-the-line model in the 900 Vario series. The new series with its five models ranging from 296 to 415 hp was redesigned from the ground up and is visually identical to the innovative Fendt 1000. While larger than its predecessor, the 900 is also more compact than its larger brother. Now tipping the scales at close to 11,800 kilogrammes, it gained nearly 900 kilogrammes in weight and now has a wheel base that has been expanded by 10 centimetres. This is also evident in the imposing 1:32 model, which now proudly boasts the same attention to detail enthusiasts have come to expect from WIKING’s agricultural models. This applies equally to the pronounced overall look and the interior of the high-tech cab. A quick glance at the hood of the tractor is enough to appreciate the premium print quality of the newly designed Fendt lettering with model designation. The astounding level of detail on the driver’s cab is rich enough to even bring to light the windscreen wipers on the front and rear as well as the headlamps painted in sliver. In real life, the machine purring under the bonnet of the Fendt 942 Vario is a nine-litre engine that has been specially engineered for Fendt by MAN. The Fendt 900 Vario won the “Machine of the Year 2020” competition in no fewer than two categories. Apart from receiving the “Audience Choice Award”, Fendt also came first in the “Machine of the Year” category for large tractors with their Fendt 900 Vario. In the same year, the Fendt 942 Vario also managed to win over the jury bestowing the “Tractor of the Year Award” thanks to its digital connectivity, which allows for fleet management and machine optimisation. Another decisive factor in winning this title was the interaction of the newly engineered MAN engine and the Fendt iD low engine speed concept, which has been delivering “high performance at low speed” since its inception.
