This model would have been a delight to Carl Andreas Julius Bolle as the Büssing 8000 truly showed what is was made of when it served as an auxiliary tanker in the years after the war. Bolle had been known in Berlin for many years as a venerable chain of supermarkets that originated from the C. Bolle dairy. Bolle waited to push forward with the expansion of their retail businesses until the 1970s as the dairy business had not evolved in a way that would have promised a successful future. The prototype WIKING has miniaturised is a contemporary road train of the early years, which bears the unmistakable Bolle logo on the milk tanks.
