In 1982, VW transfigured the VW Golf I into the first classic caretaker's company car or functional courier vehicle. Although the career of this series had already begun four years earlier in North America, it was only with the start in November 1982 that the pick-up entered into production for the European market at the Volkswagen subsidiary TAS in Sarajevo. Today, there are many fans of these highly manoeuvrable modern classic pick-ups - of which WIKING chose the mint green model.
