Even while it was still in production, the Mercedes-Benz 190 SL Cabrio was a highly popular item at WIKING – as young buyers were more than happy to purchase this dream car. With the 190 SL, Mercedes-Benz approached the territory of its "big brother" in the fifties – even though the 300 SL gullwing offered, of course, greater splendour and speed. At the “International Motor Sports Show” in New York, Mercedes-Benz presented both of the SL models, which have remained mythical and legendary to this day. Mercedes-Benz liked to describe the 190 SL as a "touring sports car" in their brochures. The coexistence of two different SL series at the time was unique in the history of Daimler-Benz and was later withdrawn. WIKING is revitalising the historic moulds of the Mercedes-Benz 190 SL and is presenting the summer-loving convertible with contemporary paintwork in light blue.
The baby blue body with clear lacquer finish provides a perfect contrast for the silver details. The radiator grille with Mercedes-Benz star, the grille frame, the Mercedes-Benz star at the rear and the model designation "190 SL" are particularly accentuated by the silver. The pearl white steering wheel, black interior and black convertible top add further elegance.
